Recollections/words received after the production of the PDF:

Robert Byrd (Head, 2018 – 2019):

Andrews was a champion of the LGBTQ Interest Group. His work during the last decade on the IG newsletter and programming have left a mark on the group. During my time as chair, Andrew was my go-to source for organizational history and information. He always reminded me about the newsletter–not the other way round. He was a prolific writer and diligent researcher, and he will be missed.

Joseph Michael Czabovsky (Head, 2017 – 2018):

Andrew was always there for our IG. Year after year, he would volunteer so much time being our newsletter editor. It’s impossible to put into words how much service he did for the group. He’ll forever be missed.

Erica Ciszek (Head, 2016 – 2017):

I had the pleasure of working with Andrew as part of the leadership of the LGBTQ Interest Group. Andrew was a committed member and mentor in the LGBTQ Interest Group of AEJMC. He was a familiar face in the member meetings and panels. I recall seeing his face in the room at panels, at member meetings and in the lobbies of annual conferences. As a true historian, Andrew passed along the memory and institutional knowledge of the group with members.
